Mums are Beautiful Ep2 - Mac Prep + Prime Fix+

As part of the 'Mums are Beautiful' series I have had the opportunity to try out the Mac Prep + Prime Fix+ Setting Spray.

I love my full coverage foundation, I love a good setting powder, I love a matte finish, but I HATE a concrete, powdery finish. Is this my solution?

Love To Slay sent me a Mac Prep + Prime Fix+ to try out and let you guys know what I think... here's how it went.

I applied my usual makeup, primed, fully covered, concealer, setting powder, contour, brows, eyes, mascara, lips. Looked close in the mirror, and surprise surprise, there was this horrible powdery, concrete look on my skin. It looks like elephant skin, all dry and cracked. Yes, I use too much makeup, do I want to change that? No.

I'm a mum, I like to feel beautiful, and putting my face on for the day make's me feel beautiful, and it should make you feel beautiful too!

I looked at this spray and I thought, it's just going to make my powder disappear, the last 45 minutes of work - gone. I picked it up, I shook it, I looked at my face and I sprayed.

At first, I was like, 'Oh my god, my face is wet, there is powder, dissolving on my face.' I could see (in my head) my whole face pouring off. Obviously it wasn't.

I let it dry into my skin, I was patient, I didn't touch, I didn't dab. I didn't even look...

It took a couple of minutes to dry, I looked in the mirror, and what was horrible, dry, elephant looking skin had dissolved into some perfect sheet of what looked to be natural skin.

My makeup hadn't disappeared, it hadn't gone, the coverage was still all there. I instantly fell

in love with Mac Fix+, and honestly, my makeup lasted ALL DAY. Which, if you are a mum too, you can understand how easy it is to rub away your makeup throughout the day, constantly need touching up. But no! It was a miracle, my makeup stayed. My face looked great, and I felt great!
